Hi, I'm Lizzie, I'm 23 and I love to write- stories, poems, blogs, anything really- and this is a blog to document all of that, so I hope you enjoy reading some of my favourite pieces. The stories are in parts so you can follow your favourite story as it progresses- they all have specific labels at the bottom so if you click it, it'll take to all the passages from that story- and I promise to try and write the next parts regularly. :)

Death in Autumn- Part 1

Autumn. It had finally ensnared the rural town of Shalley Falls. But two weeks into Autumn, and the crisp orange and red leaves, surrounding the inside of Shalley Forest, were spotted with dark crimson blood. A frail, lifeless body lay upon a bed of auburn petals, rustling restlessly around her limbs. Her velvety brown eyes remained open and staring, her blood-drained lips parted slightly. Dark copper hair fanned out around her head- as if paralysed in a state of flight. The gun held in her left hand lined up to the gruesome bullet wound in the side of her head would've suggested suicide, but the grotesque slashes in her stomach and sides- revealing the majority of the contents of her stomach- were failed to be hidden by the leaves around her, and promised a more disturbing intrigue to the young girl's more than probable murder. But it was gone nightfall, and no one would dare venture into the forest tonight. Not tonight.
